This author is very sensitive for some one who makes a career out insulting a major religion. Said he was terrified by Billy Ray's Daughter--told him to take an inventory of reality, and was immediately defriended. The total jerk made me regret buying his book out of 's bargain bin.
Unique and entertaining view of media and religion. A very real look at the way society loves to place blame and responsibility on any and everyone else. Only when it's a threat to our spoiled ways of living, will we work towards the greater good of actually solving a problem and making a difference. Easy to read and surprisingly not offensive. it doesn't matter what your political or religious views are because The Fashion of the Christ is an honest take on human behavior.
WWJD? Upon his 2nd Coming? Not quite what the world expects of him.
Great story in Mr. Tietz's own unique writing style, proving no one is immune to things such as fame, money, worship...

I absolutely love the "What would happen if..." type of story and The Fashion of the Christ does not disappoint. If you love a biting social commentary about where our true morals as a nation lie, this would be it. Brandon's writing style is crisp and engaging, compelling the reader to stay focused on the story as it unfolds.
Tietz offers us a scathing satire on modern life, religion and celebrity. What if the Second Coming happened at The Super Bowl? Reinventing Jesus is a daunting and dangerous task, but the author manages to make a Christ character that is more Charlie Sheen than New Testament while presenting it in a way that feels like it could really happen and leaves the reader wondering, "What if America got a Savior like the celebrities we worship?"
A good and quick read for lovers of good satires, really funny, even the son of God can be bought
Finished reading this last night. If you're looking for a quick read that shows you a little bit into the mind of someone who believes that even the son of God can be bought, this is the story for you. It's slick, witty, and got me thinking, which is the most anyone can ask for. I'm hoping his next book dives into more of the same subject matter and goes deeper and longer (that's what she said...).
